I'm a comics artist working on a graphic memoir that’s serialized at Mutha Magazine. I published a graphic history on Newark’s St. Benedict’s Prep School, available at Spiralbound. My work also includes short comics and political cartoons.
I came to comics via fine arts, with a BFA from Syracuse and an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts. I exhibited widely in New York galleries and published art criticism.
My interest in words and images came together some years ago. That led me to The Center for Cartoon Studies summer workshops and the Graphic Novel Intensive program at Sequential Artist Workshop. I’ve been the “official cartoonist” for New Jersey’s NJ 11th for Change political initiatives. All the while, I’ve led the Visual Art Department at St. Benedict’s Prep, Newark, NJ.
